This policy explains how StockTally collects, uses and protects information when you use our website, web application or mobile applications.
Who is responsible for your information?
StockTally is operated by Asif Siddiqui in Glasgow, United Kingdom. For privacy enquiries, contact support@stocktallyapp.com.
Information we process
- Account information: your email address, user identifier and authentication information.
- Business information: company name, contact details, business type, currency, logo and preferences.
- Business records: inventory, stock movements, sales, returns, suppliers, customers, quotes, invoices and payment records that you choose to enter.
- Subscription information: entitlement, product and transaction status. StockTally does not receive your full card details.
- Device and support information: app version, device type, operating system, notification token and diagnostics you choose to include with a support request.
How we use information
We use information to create and secure accounts, provide inventory and invoicing features, synchronise supported data, deliver low-stock notifications, administer trials and subscriptions, respond to support enquiries, prevent misuse and improve reliability.
Legal bases
Where UK data-protection law applies, processing may be necessary to perform our contract with you, comply with legal obligations, pursue legitimate interests such as service security and improvement, or act on your consent where required.
Service providers
StockTally uses carefully selected providers to operate the service, including Appwrite for authentication and cloud data, RevenueCat and the relevant Apple or Google app store for subscriptions, Expo services for supported push notifications, and Cloudflare for website and web-app delivery. These providers process information under their own terms and privacy notices.
Storage and international transfers
Depending on the feature and provider used, information may be processed outside the United Kingdom. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards provided by our service providers.
Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain security, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations. Local records remain on your device until you remove them or the app data. Cloud records associated with your account may be deleted following a verified deletion request, subject to necessary legal retention.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No internet or storage system can guarantee absolute security, so you should protect your password and device access.
Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or portability of your personal information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. To make a request, email support@stocktallyapp.com from the address associated with your account.
Children
StockTally is a business productivity service and is not intended for children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as StockTally develops. The effective date above will identify the latest version.
